New Year's Recap

Happy New Year everyone! I hope all of you had a great New Year's. We had a great time with family and friends. We hosted Rich, Tif, Ken and his sister Kristin for dinner. Tif and Rich had the best idea to get a private chef to cook us all dinner instead of going out for dinner. It was pretty much what we would spend at a restaurant but we got to choose the menu and didn't have to deal with crowds and crappy service on a holiday!   Rich found the chef and he was awesome, everything was really delicious.

First course - fried calamari with a homemade giardiniera 

Second course- bacon-wrapped filet mignon, parmesean crispy potatoes and green beans

Third course - Chocolate, hazelnut wontons with vanilla bean ice cream and fresh whipped cream

Dinner was so yummy. We hung out for a little while and then all headed over to Rich and Tif's to see the kids and ring in the New Year.

We had a really fun night with everyone, it was low key and we just had a good time. I wouldn't mind a repeat of the same thing next year! I hope all of you had fun ringing in the new year with your family and friends. Here's to a great 2012!
