Nursery Progress Report #1

I didn't think I'd be able to do a progress report so soon after announcing Ethan's nursery plans last week but Michael and his Dad worked so much this weekend. They got all of the crown molding installed on Saturday and then on Sunday they filled all the nail holes and seams.

This is how the nursery looks right now. It's definitely in construction mode!

Michael has been busy filling and sanding all of the holes in the walls and closet to get it ready for paint and the closet shelves to be installed.

The bathroom got the demo treatment as well

We are putting in a new counter top, faucet, light fixture and mirror. The hole in the wall on the right is where a medicine cabinet used to be. We removed it and are filling in the hole with drywall.

This is the new stone counter top we picked for the bathroom.

We also found a bathroom set we like as well. I don't know if we are going to use the shower curtain yet but I love all of the cute animal accessories!

We made a lot of progress in a week! This week on the construction agenda is running electrical in the ceiling since we didn't have any before and installing 6 puck recessed lights and putting a box in at the center of the room for the drum shade chandelier I'm having made. We also want to go to the Container Store this weekend to design the closet system we are going to put in the nursery. They are having a 30% off sale right now so we want to take advantage of it. Once the electrical is done it will be time for priming and painting but that's probably a week away.
