Weekend Recap

We had such a great weekend. Even though it felt like Spring or Fall out, we still spent most of the weekend outdoors. On Friday we were supposed to go to the zoo with Tif and the kids but it ended up raining all day so Tif brought Jacob and Makayla over instead. The kids had fun and played until it was time for naps.

Friday night we just made some dinner and relaxed at home.

On Saturday we got up and had breakfast and then made our way to the Morton Arboretum. We were meeting my parents and my sister, Teddy and Lily. My parents had never been so we were excited to show them everything and have them see the kids play in the children's garden. We had a fantastic time and I got some great pictures from the day. It was fun to watch Ethan there this time because he was able to walk around.

We had so much fun. We finished up having some lunch and then headed home since the kids needed naps. After Ethan's nap we played for a while and then we headed to South Barrington to do some shopping and have dinner. We went to Mago Grill a new Mexican place that just opened out there that we had a Groupon for. The food was really good. Michael was thrilled to have tableside guacamole and that I actually tried it and didn't hate it! Ethan just wanted to eat chips!

On Sunday we went to Whole Foods in the morning to do our grocery shopping and then later in the day we headed to Wheaton to have a picnic, blow bubbles, walk and play in the park.

After the park it was nap time for Michael and Ethan and I worked on some Etsy orders. When Ethan woke up we made him a pillow pit again and he went crazy. He just kept standing up and falling into the pillows and rolling around over and over again. He is such a goof! We could not stop laughing, it was so funny to watch him.

Michael made us a super yummy Sunday dinner with steaks, grilled zucchini, potatoes and chopped salad. It was delicious!

I hope all of you had a great weekend as well!
