Weekend Recap

We had a great family filled weekend. On Friday, Ethan and I met up with Arla and Lily at the Morton Arboretum. The kids had so much fun. It was the first time Ethan had been there since he started fully walking. He was running around like a monkey let loose! He just wanted to explore every inch on his own. It was fun to see him and Lily running around together now too.

On Saturday we went to a touch a truck event in South Barrington. It was super crowded and crazy loud because there were tons of horns and sirens going off, but Ethan still had fun getting in some of the trucks.

After the event we got some lunch at Coopers Hawk and then headed home for Ethan's nap time. For dinner we met up with my parents and my sister and Lily at Flattop. My parents are headed for an Alaskan adventure this week so they wanted to see their grandbabies before they left for 2 weeks. We had a yummy dinner and had fun talking and watching the kids be crazy of course! Lily loved her mac and cheese too!

After dinner we headed home and Michael headed out to play poker with the boys. I played outside with Ethan for a few minutes and then it was off to bed for him.

On Sunday we spent the day at the park. We had a picnic, went for a walk and played on playground. It was nice to spend the day outdoors, Ethan had a ball!

For Sunday dinner I made a new chicken recipe I will share this week, corn on the cob and grilled zucchini. It was super yummy!
