Weekend Recap

We had such a fun and busy weekend! After getting back into my normal work routine after the holiday break, I was really looking forward to spending Friday with Ethan. I wanted to do something fun with him because it was so insanely cold most of the week, so I planned on going to the DuPage Children's Museum. We met up with Tif, Jacob and Makayla since they didn't have anything going on and the kids love to play together. I'm posting all of our pictures later this week, but here are a few.

The kids had a ball and it was really empty which was nice so they got to play with everything. They played for 4 hours straight! Around 1 o'clock, It was time to head home for lunch and naps. Friday night we just made some dinner and relaxed.

On Saturday we got up and had some breakfast and then we headed out to Costco to pick up some things we needed. Ethan is not big on sitting in the cart these days so he had fun walking around and looking at everything.

After our Costco run we came home and Michael needed to do some work so I thought I would pull out Ethan's new color wonder desk he got for Christmas. It's awesome, the markers and paints only work on the special paper so they won't ruin clothes or furniture. Ethan had a lot of fun coloring!

After some coloring it was time to head out again to meet Michael's grandma and Rich, Tif, Jacob and Makayla for lunch. We went to the kids' favorite place, 2Toots. Tif and I sat at the counter with the kids so they could be really close to the trains. They just love it! Ethan had fun watching the trains go by while eating his chicken nuggets! He got to ride the mechanical horse before we left too, which he loves!

After lunch it was nap time for Ethan. Michael and I did some cleaning in the garage and then when Ethan woke up were off again! This time we were headed to my parents house to have dinner and hangout. They were babysitting Lily this weekend and Ethan and Lily hadn't seen each other since Christmas so I wanted them to get to see each other. They love playing together and they obviously missed each other!

We had a yummy pasta dinner, watched some Tangled and the kids played some more before it was time to head home so Ethan and Lily could go to bed. Michael and I just relaxed and watched some football when we got home.

On Sunday we got up and headed out to grab some breakfast and then to Whole Foods to do our grocery shopping.

After grocery shopping it felt pretty nice outside so on our way home we stopped at the Spring
Creek Reserve to get a walk in. Ethan was loving life being able to walk around outside. We have been cooped up in the house for weeks so it was nice just to be out in the sun.

After our walk we headed home, unloaded the groceries and then I did a little craft project with Ethan that I'll share later this week.

We had lunch, Ethan napped, we watched football and relaxed the rest of the day. Michael made his yummy meatloaf for Sunday dinner. It was a great weekend. I hope all of you had a good weekend and a great week ahead!
