Blackberry Farm

I had found out about Blackberry Farm last Fall but we never had a chance to go because we ran out of time between all of our other Fall festivities. I made sure to put it on our Summer Bucket List for this year. It was a great place to spend the day. It was super cheap and you got to ride everything as many times as you wanted.

They had a train that went around a portion of the park and of course that was Ethan's favorite thing to do so it was our first stop and we rode it a few times throughout the day.

They had a bunch of farm animals that Ethan loved looking at.

Besides the train, this corn table was probably Ethan's favorite thing. We played there for about an hour. We just could not get him away from it he was having so much fun!

They had a bunch of cute tractors and cars to ride too!

They also had this huge playground with a ton of slides and interactive things to do. Ethan loved it!

It was such a fun place, I would love to go back in the Fall and they also do a Christmas train ride that I know Ethan would love too!

Splash Parks!

We've actually had a pretty mild Summer this far so there hasn't been a whole lot of days where it's been warm enough to swim or do water activities. We have had a couple though and we headed straight to two of our favorite splash parks to cool off. Ethan loves playing in the water!

Mallard Lakes

We are lucky that we have so many nature reserves and parks close by us. One of them is Mallard Lakes and it's only about a mile from our house. They have a bunch of small lakes surrounded by pathways you can walk or bike on. It's been one of Ethan's favorite places to go this Summer. He loves to throw rocks in the water, watch and count fish swimming in the water and we've even found a turtle there this year!

Look, Mama, fishies!

Our painted box turtle find!

We set him free of course

Welcome to the world Violet!

Michael and I are an Auntie and Uncle again! Our third niece was born on the morning of June 10. She weighed 8lbs 7oz and was 20" long. She is just beautiful!

Her big sister Lily was so excited to meet her!

So were Grandma and Papa!

Lily couldn't wait to hold her, she was a natural!

It was crazy holding a newborn again! I haven't held a newborn since Ethan and he's so big now, she was so tiny!

Ethan couldn't come to the hospital but he's gotten some big brother practice in holding Violet too!
