I can't believe you are already 13 months princess! It seems like we just had your birthday party yesterday. The best way to describe you right now is, on the move! You never stop. You are so excited you can walk you never want to sit down. The days of me holding you in my lap are long gone for a while. You will wiggle and squirm until we put you down.
You are walking so well. You still hold your arms up for balance but you don't fall that much. You are very aware of where you are walking and rarely trip over things. And if you do fall, you are such a trooper and never cry. You just roll over, get back up and keep on going! You are enjoying your new found freedom so much. You love being able to walk around at the park and all of the places we go to. I can tell you are going to love being out in nature and being an adventurer just like your brother!
One of the places you have really enjoyed having your freedom was at the Children's Museum. You were like a caged animal let loose! You didn't know what to do with yourself, you were going all over the place just to check everything out. You had so much fun!
Another first this month was that you got fitted for your first pair of real shoes! We took you to Stride Rite and you were a size 4. We picked out the cutest silver and purple shoes. You love them!
One of my favorite things about your age right now is your love of books! You would let me read to you all day if I wanted to. You go and grab any book and bring it to me and put your arms up so that I will pick you up and put you on my lap and read to you. It is the cutest thing ever. Your favorite books right now are ABC books and anything that is touch and feel. You love feeling all of the different textures.
You celebrated your second Halloween. You are still too young to get it but you looked super adorable as Tinkerbell! You only went and got candy at a few houses because it was cold and rainy but next year I know you will be running from house to house!
You are getting your 4 front teeth right now. They haven't bothered you too much especially considering all 4 have come in at the same time. At your 12 month check up you weighed 22 lbs, 14 ounces and you are 32 inches tall. You are officially the size of a 2 year old on the charts. The doctor said you are growing great and developing perfectly.
You added a few new words this month. You can say: Mama, Dada, dog, thank you, bye bye, oh no, uh oh, go, yay, yeah. You will try to say words we ask you to as well.
Sleep is still amazing, you sleep at least 12 hours a night with 4-5 hours of naps during the day. You need your sleep and that is fine with us because you are so happy when you are awake it must work! I don't see you going to one nap anytime soon.
Food is great, you eat anything and everything! Your favorite meal of the day is breakfast. You love some eggs, waffles, sausages, pancakes, yogurt, whatever you can get your hands on. You are a total berry monster too. You have strawberries, blueberries, raspberries and blackberries every day!
You are just so much fun right now. Every month with you is my favorite but every day you learn more, understand more, talk more and it is just so exciting to watch. Daddy and I look at each other at least once a day and say, "she is just the best, cutest, little girl ever." We love you so much and we can't wait to see what you are up to in a month's time!
