Wildfest 2016

This past weekend we went to a cool animal show called Wild Fest. My uncle was one of the organizers and exhibitors with his Cold Blooded Creatures show. This was their 4th year doing it and we've been to 3 of the 4, Ethan loves going. He had a lot of fun seeing all the different kinds of animals all of the exhibitors had. They had everything from bats and monkeys to alligators! We met up with Rich, Tif, Jacob and Makayla. All the kids love animals so they had a great time! We dropped off Sofia at my parents because it was in the middle of her nap time so that's why you won't see any pictures of her.

When we got there we went straight to see my uncle and Bubba! Ethan was ready and hopped right on for a ride, he was in heaven!

Jacob and Makayla got their turns in too. They didn't sit on Bubba last year but they were brave and did it this year!

Before some of the animal shows started, we looked around at the other animals. There were monkeys, skunks, an eagle, owls, bats, a lemur and more.

We watched the program put on by Big Run Wolf Ranch. They had a groundhog, skunk, porcupine, coyote, and a wolf!

Then it was time for the main event, my Uncle Jim's show, the kids were so excited and they had a front row seat!

Ethan worked his way into the show and volunteered to sit on Tank the African spurred tortoise!

Dragon, the water monitor was next. Ethan's face in these pictures crack me up!

Ball Python

And the star of the show, Bubba!

We had so much fun and Ethan loved getting to see all of the animals! We went out to lunch and then headed home. We can't wait until next year!

Valentine Craft

I asked Ethan what he wanted to do on yesterday and he said he wanted to do a craft. That sounded good to me so I went to my craft desk to find something for my kiddos to do. I found a 2 pack of canvases and went with it. I taped out their names on the canvas so that they could paint on top of it. They were very excited! This was Sofia's first time painting and doing a craft on her own too!

Ethan went right to work!

All done!

Sofia had so much fun painting, she did really well too! She got a little messy and really wanted to pull the blue mess matt off the table but she painted the whole canvas herself!

Mama, I painted my hand!

After they painted their canvases, we added some hearts for Valentine's Day! I made a few different size heart stamps out of pipe cleaners and we stamped the hearts in different colors. Ethan loved this part!

All done and drying!

The final product, I think they came out so cute and look forward to putting them out every Valentine's Day!

Homemade Bird Feeders

I thought it would be fun to make homemade bird feeders with Ethan as a craft project. He was really excited to make them. You can use a lot of different things but we just used, toilet paper rolls, ribbon, peanut butter and bird seed of course. Oh and Ethan likes to craft in pajamas to stay warm and cozy!

I think he might have liked hanging them on the tree more than making them!

We put the extra seed under the tree.

All done, come and eat birdies!
